So our new website is live. But you know this since you are reading this post on it aren't you? Anyway a browse around will reveal plenty of new stuff. We are throwing everything at it and eventually it will have nearly every article, feature and bit of information that we have ever written or gathered on Koh Chang.
Obviously this will take us quite a while – for now it is has all the basics that you need to know about Koh Chang but keep an eye out since, like a giant peach, it will be getting bigger and prettier day by day. And if there is anything (within reason!) that you would like to see on the site then tell us on the form at the bottom of this page and we'll see what we can do.
The new site features lots of panorama shots like the one above taken at Kai Bae Beach the other day. There will be plenty more of these coming since a handy option on my camera allows me to make them automatically, saving the hours of painstaking Photoshop editing that this used to involve. This is obviously a very good thing as far as we're concerned.
Koh Chang is full of surprises. For example, driving into Kai Bae the other day we didn't expect to come across a road full of live fish conducting an escape from a fridge. Unfortunately it was a hot day and they didn't make it far which was a shame given the bravery and daring of their attempt.
As far as the weather goes we cannot tell a lie – it's been pretty lousy over the last couple of weeks. Lots of heavy rain and some impressive tropical thunderstorms. But then again it has been sunny for most of today. You just don't know what's coming next at this time of year. As Noah said.
An Immigration Office sign has recently appeared in Klong Prao. Don't get too excited since it is on a shuttered building, and it isn't the first time that this has happened without an office ever opening. But it is a positive sign and be sure that we'll let you know in the happy event that they open and save we foreigners from the requirement to go to the mainland for our Visas.
