Ferries to and from Koh Chang
A car ferry firms operates from Centrepoint - 5 Kilometres from Laem Ngop and another one departs from from Ao Thammachat 9 Kilometres up the coast from Laem Ngop. They charge about 150 Baht one way for a car and run hourly from 6am to 7pm daily. They also carry foot passengers (100B) and are linked to Trat & Laem Ngop by taxis. Crossings take around 30-50 minutes.
All of the ferries arrive at piers in the north-east of Koh Chang. On arrival share taxis wait to take passengers to the various beaches. White Sands Beach (Hat Sai Khao) is 50B, Klong Phrao is 60B, Kai Bae 70B and Hat Ta Nam (Lonely Beach) costs 100B and Bang Bao is 120B.
